About Patient Education Online
The American Academy of Pediatrics is pleased to offer the online edition of our valuable Patient Education resource. This Web site contains both English and
Spanish versions of nearly all of our patient education materials, including brochures and Vaccine Information Statements.
The user-friendly interface allows you to easily locate and print this valuable information to distribute to your patients on an as-needed basis—without ever
depleting your supply!
In addition to the targeted search capabilities, there are several ways for you to find exactly the information you’re looking for. The A–Z index includes
all of the patient education materials in alphabetical order. We’ve made it easier than ever to find materials by topic. For example, the AAP brochure titled
“Early Arrival: Information for Parents of Premature Infants” can now be easily found under E for early arrival as well as P for prematurity.
In addition to the overall alphabetical listing, you can also locate brochures under a variety of helpful categories:
- Adolescents & School-aged Children
- Behavioral and Psychosocial Issues
- Common Illnesses and Conditions
- Growth and Developmental
- Immunization Information
- Newborns, Infants, & Toddlers
- Nutrition and Fitness
- Safety and Prevention
- Promoting Pediatric Care
- Sexual Health and Sexuality
- Substance Abuse Issues
Patient Education Online also features several different focused collections:
- Connected Kids handouts
- A Minute for Kids audio files
- Plain Language handouts
- Spanish handouts
- Teen-focused handouts
- TIPP Sheets (The Injury Prevention Program handouts)
- Vaccine Information Statements (VIS)
